For one thing, I just spent seven months in federal prison. Not really! It just feels like that when you're writing a novel.

The real answer is that I've been living and writing. I have such a frenetic writing method that I try not to think about the story for as long as possible while my subconscious works it out. That means not thinking about career or anything related to publishing. Then, by the time I start cranking out the pages, I don't have five spare minutes to get with Sam and work on the webpage. So, that answers that.
We are finally going to post some of the photos I use to document Natchez settings when I'm writing, so you can see some of the real places in the books, or inspirations for the fictional places. These are just snaps, not artwork, but Natchez truly does live up to its hype where natural beauty and architecture are concerned.
